Pope John Paul II dies at 84

Pope John Paul II died today. I feel it is a sad day for all. I've been watching the news fairly closely ever since he had begun to become ill. I have to admit that I feel a little sad. He has been the pope for my entire life. Regardless if you are Catholic or not, I feel that it is still a big loss. I mean, its The Pope! He is one of the largest, if not the largest, symbolic figure of the modern world. Everyone knows who the pope is. However, I feel that it was his time as he has been having health problems for the past year.

The first link is a general link about the story of Pope John Paul II's death. The second is an article that shows a different side of him.
