Somebody took a chance!!!

Woo hoo! I'm so glad this happened for Clarett. To go in the third round when people were sayinng that he wouldn't even get drafted! I think Denver is a great place for him to go. There aren't that many great running backs on that team (well at least haven't performed so well), so if he does well, he could possibly move forward in the ranks. Maybe someone on the Broncos read my blog. Haha.
Surprise: Clarett selected in 3rd round by Denver

Broncos gamble on Clarett in third round

--"Thanks to Shanahan, he enters the NFL with a certain degree of respect along with the fortune of going to the best halfback factory in football."--

On a side note:

Mike Nugent, a placekicker from Ohio State, was also drafted. In the Second Round! That's crazy for a kicker to get drafted that high. What's even more weird is that I said that would happen! My friend here didn't believe me, saying that a kicker never goes that high. Well, guess who showed him. Haha.

IT'S DRAFT DAY!!!

It's Draft Day! I always like watching the draft for some reason. I don't know why. Last year's draft was cool because I recognized a lot of the players. This year they are all "on paper" for me. It also sucks that there are very few OSU players this year. Wait till next year though. Mainly for the actual season. OSU will be awesome!

Can someone say greedy???

As if Terrell Owens doesn't already have a huge ego.... I mean, if you read the article, maybe you can try to understand what he is saying, but still. I personally think he just wants to compete with Michael Vick. Its true that he is one of the leading receivers in the NFL and that he did have an amazing past year, but he is actually complaining about the fact that he is not one of the top two highest paid receivers! So he's number three. BIG DEAL! Plus that only applies for the first two years of his contract! And he's already completed one year of it. Knowing him though, he'll end up getting his way. Players usually do in the end...

T.O. wants to redo deal

--This is not about me being greedy or selfish," Owens told The Philadelphia Inquirer for Thursday's editions. "I was called selfish for trying to come back and play in the Super Bowl. I just want people to think about what they're hearing from all these reports about me being greedy. Just take a moment and look at my stature in the game."--

It's all in Spanish, but they are really fun to listen to.

HAPPY TAX DAY!!

fun tax bit

-- The most misused Social Security number of all time was 078-05-1120.

-- That was on a fake, display "Social Security" card put in wallets sold at Woolworth in 1938.

-- The number belonged to the manufacturer's secretary, Hilda Schrader Whitcher.

-- The sample card had no name on it and many confused it with their Social Security number.

-- In all, at least 40,000 people used Hilda's number on their taxes

Thanks to the person who sent me this....

Observation / Question

I was watching Meet the Parents, and I was listening to the opening song, "A Fool in Love" by Randy Newman. I began to think, doesn't Randy Newman sound like he would be the retarded man's Frank Sinatra???

Maybe that's just me....

It Rained!!!

Finally! It rained after several months of hot dry weather! It was great. I don't know if it will last. My guess is that it happened out of mourning because UNC won the National Championship.

Crap!

Both my teams lost in the Final Four games. Louisville and MSU. I gotta go for Illinois this time. Big Ten all the way!!! Also, it makes OSU look good because they were the only team to beat them this year.

Saturday, April 02, 2005

Soooo Tired......

Ohhh Mannn........... It's 6 AM over here. I'm up watching the Final Four games. Right now it is Louisville vs. Illinois. I want Louisville to win. However, if Illinois wins it all, I'll still be happy because they are Big Ten.

AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! The cable went out!!!!!!! Every channel is coming except for the game!!!! Why does this happen? I'm up for no reason!!!

Damn, I guess I'll sleep now......

Pope John Paul II dies at 84

Pope John Paul II died today. I feel it is a sad day for all. I've been watching the news fairly closely ever since he had begun to become ill. I have to admit that I feel a little sad. He has been the pope for my entire life. Regardless if you are Catholic or not, I feel that it is still a big loss. I mean, its The Pope! He is one of the largest, if not the largest, symbolic figure of the modern world. Everyone knows who the pope is. However, I feel that it was his time as he has been having health problems for the past year.

The first link is a general link about the story of Pope John Paul II's death. The second is an article that shows a different side of him.

Let's hope this works well for him...

Clarett posted better 40-yard dash times during his private workout. Certainly better than the combine times. I'm hoping that this will work out for him in the draft and that some team might take a chance on him in the end. Although, if you read the article, not that many teams came to see him. I think he lost a lot of respect when he walked off the field at the combine. I don't believe that the NFL coaches liked that very much. I hope he goes somewhere cool though. All my favorite players always end up on teams with no future and eventually fizzle into average players because of that.

Moving up? Clarett runs faster 40
