I watched some of the third debate today. I've never actually watched Bush debate before, nor Kerry. Bush was so bad! I just couldn't believe that this guy might actually win again. Kerry was much better. At least he answered the questions. Bush didn't even answer the questions directly. He would always change the subject or skew off course. All the polls later agreed with me. Except for those greedy Republicans. Yeah, Kerry may want to raise taxes or impose gun control, but at least he is thinking about the nation as a whole. Bush and the other conservatives always think about themselves first. They don't say it like that, but when they mention that they don't want to increase taxes and that people should be allowed guns, that is essentially what they are saying. That's just my opinion, though. I guess most people already knew that cuz that's the meaning behind being a conservative. Also, about gun control, Bush totally dodged the question about the assault weapons ban. I was interested in that question too. I really think there should be stricter laws on gun control. When Bush said that the best defense against improper use of firearms was to have harsher punishments I just started laughing like crazy. That doesn't make any sense. He's basically saying that it is okay to sell the guns to anyone, and then let us just hope that it isn't used improperly. As Kerry said, you have to stop the guns at the source - STOP SELLING THE GUNS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! In my opinion, I feel that this is PLAIN COMMON SENSE! Whatever, though. I feel that the only way that Kerry can win is if everyone who wants Kerry in office, ACTUALLY VOTES!! Many people "talk the talk" and "walk the walk," but it doesn't mean anything if you do not vote on November 2nd!!!
As election time draws ever nearer, I stongly urge people to vote. Whether you vote for Bush, Kerry, or anyone else, YOU STILL NEED TO VOTE!! As we saw in the last election, every vote counts. If you haven't registered, it might be too late now, and shame on you. If you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain in the future. As a citizen, you didn't do your part. The government asks two things for citizens to do: Pay taxes and Vote. I'm in India and I did my part to vote. It was a lengthy process to vote absentee; voting at home is incredibly easy. There really is no excuse.
Anyways, I hope that anyone who reads this might be further inspired to vote this year. Let's hope the correct man is elected. DO YOUR PART!!!!
