Heisman Watch
Heisman Watch
Can you believe that Troy Smith, QB from OSU, made it to the Heisman list? I was really surprised at that. But his stats are pretty impressive. He has more rushing touchdowns than Vince Young. Far less yards though. And his passing stats are pretty low in comparison, but he only threw 4 INTs.
It's also very cool that A.J. Hawk is the only defensive player on the list.
I hope either Bush or Young can hold out and win. I really don't want to see Leinart take it again. I don't know who I'd rather like to win. I like running backs better than quarterbacks, but I like Texas better than USC. Hmmmm....

WE WON! WE WON!! WE WON!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooo!!!! OSU won! In one of the most amazing games that I have ever seen-by-watching-through-Gamecast-on-my-PC-with-reload -delays-and-small-digital-football-fields-with-small-arrows! It was unbelievable! The last drive was amazing. Troy Smith ws perfect. Finally, there were no drops on that drive. I stayed up and "watched" the entire game. I lost faith a little after halftime, but decided I just needed more spirit. So I put on my OSU jersey and everything went right! Ahh, what a game....

I didn't know this...
Much more is on the line than I thought....
--"Because Penn State beat Ohio State earlier this season, the Nittany Lions would earn the Big Ten's BCS bowl berth with a triumph at Michigan State later Saturday. Were the Buckeyes to win this one and the Nittany Lions to lose to the Spartans, Ohio State would win the league outright.
However, were Michigan to win this and Penn State to lose to Michigan State, the Wolverines would finish in a three-way tie with the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions atop the conference and claim the BCS bowl spot by virtue of having defeated the two other teams."--

Woo Hoo! and at the same time Boo Hoo....
OSU won! Allright, so it was against Northwestern. But still. This means that OSU only has to beat Michigan now and they will have a share of the Big Ten title. The OSU-MICH game is at the end of this week. Although, it is at The Big House in Michigan. Let's hope...
The boo hoo part is because this is the best week to be at OSU. Starting now, it is "Michigan Week." Which means it is a week full of.....well, college stuff. Teachers are loose about school work, everyone is in a good mood, all the focus is upon a single day - the whole school is like one unit. I so wish I was there, you couldn't believe....
More anti-Michigan pics (and slightly offensive) on the picture page.

Scandal! Outrage!
I can't believe that they are shortening Arrested Development. Possibly my favorite show on TV right now. At least they aren't canceling it..... yet.
Why is FOX so stupid? Why do they insist on canceling their best shows? Remember a show called Family Guy? I guess in order to stay on the air you have to make the show for idiots. Just because you have to pay attention to understand the show, doesn't mean it isn't good. Personally, I've even felt that The Simpsons, a classic FOX show, has even gone down the tube as far as cleverness is concerned. It used to have a lot of subtle satirical jokes within the shows. Now, I notice that its just a lot of stupidity now. Homer doing stupid things over and over.
AD is a fast-paced, quick-witted show. I think a lot of people can't follow the show, and don't understand the subtle jokes that are filled throughout the show. I also feel that if you haven't seen a lot of the episodes, you can't just jump into it in the middle of the season. However, the show is far from complicated, but I guess the average American is too stupid to pay attention to a show like this. Instead, shows that are not funny, but hand the "jokes" right to you tend to stay on the air along with lame reality, senseless action-dramas, and whiny-ass, predictable, infantile high school dramas. When are these people gonna realize that high school is useless! Nothing that happens in high school matters after you have gone to college.
Shows like My Name is Earl, Joey, That's 70's Show, Yes Dear, etc. are all still on the air, but don't make you think at all. All those shows use the same comedy that they have been using every single season and barely change their style. (Although, I do kind of like MNIE. All I'm saying is that you definitely don't have to be a genius to watch that show. Definitely.)
AD deserves to be picked up to a channel such as Comedy Central where it can truly be appreciated. The show would also be given a little more freedom for its writers. Without Chappelles's Show, Comedy Central could use a good show to fill the spot. [Just for fun, wouldn't it be interesting if HBO picked it up somehow?]
AD, in my opinion, ranks up there, as far as originality with writing is concerned, with shows like Seinfeld, Chappelles's Show, the middle seasons of The Simpsons, The Cosby Show, the CSIs, and the Adult Swim shows.
All I can hope for is that my plea somehow reaches someone who can make a difference and extend the life of the show. If that doesn't happen, maybe I can convince someone, anyone, who comes across this post to watch the show and hope they begin to like the show as much I do.

Sad News for Indians
I just heard that Narain Karthikeyan, the Indian Formula 1 driver, has been dropped from Jordan Racing (which is now Midland). He currently has no sponsers for the 2006 season. Midland F1 has picked up Christijan Albers to take the first spot, with Tiago Monteiro most likely taking the second postion.
I enjoyed seeing him on the track; it made me feel as if the Indians finally had someone in international appeal. Plus, Indians here really loved him. He was on all sorts of TV commercials and even sponsoring car batteries with special 'NK Racing' editions. Too bad he couldn't race....

Happy Diwali!!!
Happy Diwali to everyone and may the coming year be filled with happiness.Perhaps the most popular of all Hindu festivals, also known as the Festival of Lights, it is dedicated to the Goddess Kali in Bengal and to Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth, in the rest of India. As with several other festivals, Diwali is associated with one of the stories about the destruction of evil by Vishnu in one of his many manifestations. In Jainism, where the festival is also known as Mahavira Nirvana, Diwali celebrates the attainment of Moksa by Lord Mahavira. ...
the Festival of Lights, which is held in October/November and celebrates the foundation of Amritsar and the release of Guru Har Gobind (and 52 Hindu kings) from prison in the Gwalior Fort.
An Indian festival which falls on the fifteenth day of the dark half of month Kartik (October/November).
A four-day festival, falling in October-November, celebrated by displaying lights and worshipping Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.
The festival of lamps, held all over India on a moonless night, usually in October. During 18th century, Sikhs visited Amritsar on Diwali day for their annual get together.
Dīpãvali (also transliterated Deepavali; Sanskrit: row of lights) or Diwãli (contracted spelling) is the Hindu Festival of Lights and marks the victory of good over the evil. Held on the final day of the Vikram calendar, one type of a Hindu calendar that is followed by North Indians. The following day, marking the beginning of a new year, for North Indians, entitled Annakut.
